Louis Brems is a multi-award winning professional photographer. He has risked life and limb on a variety of assignments striving to create beautiful and unexpected photographs. Louis sculpts light, combining both natural light and studio strobes to create a mood that tells a story and, sparks curiosity in the viewer.
He started his career at a studio in 1998 photographing sports, seniors, underclassman, and dances. In 2003, Louis decided to further his education in the field that he loves. He graduated in December 2004 with his degree in Visual Journalism from Brooks Institute of Photography in Ventura, CA. He is currently a Senior Staff Photographer at the Villages Daily Sun.
Louis resides in the Villages, FL, with his wife Beth, their Calico cat Kitty and Boxer Odessa. When not on assignment, he keeps up to date with the latest gear, gadgets, and accessories for his camera, iPhone, and other audio and video items used in the industry. He loves watching Chicago Sports, including Cubs Baseball, Blackhawks Hockey, Bears Football, as well as Iowa Hawkeye Football or any other sport in season. He also enjoys listening to a variety of music genres and watching movies from the latest blockbuster to the smallest indie production. He even made his way onto the big screen as an extra portraying a federal agent in the Arnold Schwarzenegger film The Last Stand.
