Meet The Photographer

Louis Brems is a University Photographers Association of America (UPAA) multi-award-winning professional photographer. Known for transforming visual departments into high-performing organizations that have been recognized for excellence in multiple UPAA categories while striving to create beautiful and complex photographs that adhere to strict brand standards. Louis sculpts light, combining both natural light and studio strobes to create a mood that tells a story and, sparks curiosity in the viewer.

He started his career at a studio in 1998, sports, seniors, underclassmen, and dances. In 2003, Louis decided to further his education in the field that he loves. He graduated in December 2004 with his degree in Visual Journalism from Brooks Institute of Photography in Ventura, CA.

Louis resides in Moline, IL, with his wife Beth, their Calico cat KiKi and Boxer Java. When not on assignment, he keeps up to date with the latest gear, gadgets, and accessories for his camera, iPhone, and other audio and video items used in the industry. He loves watching Chicago Cubs, Blackhawks hockey, Bears football, Iowa Hawkeye football, and any other sport in the season. He also enjoys listening to various music genres and watching movies from the latest blockbusters to indie productions. He even made his way onto the big screen as an extra portraying an agent in Arnold Schwarzenegger's film The Last Stand.
